Your knowledge of the water and where to fish under the days conditions were a definite advantage and I'd be keen to hook up with you again when I'm next in the South Island.
Your hints and tips on tactics and your fish spotting ability allowed me to hook some good fish and made for an enjoyable and rewarding day - I must admit I was surprised to see you get the vice out on the bank at one stage to tie a fly to try to out smart the rainbow we saw in that first stretch that was refusing all previous offerings - this showed the mark of a very dedicated and helpful guide.
